My journey into digital photography began with my arrival to Japan as part of military service. There, I yearned to share my adventures with family and friends, especially those who had never travelled overseas. Naturally I decided that purchasing a decent camera would help me accomplish this task (the camera phone just wouldn't cut it any longer!).
As a newcomer to photographic art, the standard DSLR seemed a bit intimidating. The size, weight and function buttons of your typical DSLR seemed far too complicated for my tastes. It was this impression that drove me to my first entry-level camera, the Sony NEX-7. It's small form factor, speed and acclaimed performance won me over. Little did I know that I would become a slave to the mirrorless revolution.
Fast forward a few years. I'm now fully invested in the Sony full frame camera ecosystem with absolutely no reservations. My a7RII is a wonderful tool and allows me to capture wonderful moments with ease.
